e-file No: 295075/58: In pursuance of the letter received from Secretary, Assam State Election Commission and vide No. SEC.12/2025/70 dated:12th March, 2025 and Notification vide No. SEC.13/2025/6 dated:7th March, 2025, the Governor of Assam is pleased to declare 2nd April, 2025 (the day of the Poll) as public holiday under Section 25 of N. I. Act, 1881(XXIV of 1881) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No.20/25/Pub-I, dated 8th June, 1957 on account of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council Election, 2025.
All the Government/non-Government Offices, educational institutions and business establishments, including banks, tea garden etc. situated within the jurisdiction of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council where polling will be held will remain closed on that day on account of this Public Holiday under N.I. Act, 1881.
